Infrinity has been acquired

We have great news to share with you. Infrinity has been acquired by GetJar. We expect Infrinite insights to emerge from this union, which combinines GetJar's vast treasure trove of high-quality data and awesome user-base with Infrinity's powerful IP and technology.

When we started Infrinity in July 2010, our mission was to make discovery a 2-way street - Apps and Users both need to reach out to each other. The Infrinity platform and our sophisticated IP was designed to facilitate this process. We created pathways for app developers/publishers to identify the best set of users for each of their apps and for users to find the apps that would most appeal to them. Indeed, what better place to continue our pursuit of this lofty ideal than at the world's biggest open app store?

As we prepare to join GetJar's awesome team and look forward to exciting work together, we want to share in the prospects with our partners, customers and users. You can expect a great deal more from us going forward. Keep an eye on happenings at GetJar. Reach out to us. Publish with us. Get us. Join us.

Looking back

It's been a fun, fast and effin furious ride. We were no more than a few nebulous notions and ideas in late July 2010. By Aug, thanks to sound counsel from our advisors, we had locked on to a direction aligned with a potential client and already transitioned our mockups into scalable implementations. We outsourced anything not on the critical path to free and low-cost providers (Google for our email, apps and collaboration tools, Amazon for our infrastructure, and Palo Alto Cafe for our office needs :-) We focused on one thing and one thing only - building a solid and kick-ass product.

By September we were already talking to large potential customers who called what they saw "at least two orders of magnitude better than what we'd seen elsewhere". By October, we'd received Venturebeat coverage, and early in 2011, we started talking to GetJar, who would end up acquiring us.

We thank all our friends and well-wishers (including those that can't make our exit party :-) for having made this possible with your support over the last months. Keep an eye on us to look for many more exciting things to come from Infrinity at GetJar.
